Mind Matter brings together multimedia paintings by Vancouver-based artist Ryan Manahan, using colour, scale, and abstraction to explore the cycles of anxiety, memory, dreams, and overthinking.
A sister exhibition to no one’s holding a gun to your head, this body of work focuses on the ways thoughts, dreams, and everyday experiences linger in the mind and return in unexpected ways. Through expressive gestures, abstract drawing, layering, and scale, Manahan brings the paintings into a dreamlike space where cycles of thought and anxiety lose their usual certainty and become open to new interpretations.

About Ryan Manahan
Ryan Manahan is a Vancouver-based multimedia abstract painter whose work explores the relationship between memory, dreams, and everyday experiences. Through layered compositions, repetition, and experimentation with charcoal, latex, and acrylic, Manahan creates evolving dreamlike landscapes where familiar forms emerge, disappear, and transform.
This event is all-ages and pet-friendly.
