The Beaumont Studios · Flushment Day · Set dec volunteers

Calling ourcreative hive

Paint, build, craft and dress the set with experienced theatre and film set designers.

September 23 to October 11

Last October's greenhouse set: shelves of pots and a giant carnivorous plant prop.
A candlelit parlour set with a velvet chair. A painted stone room with a portrait on an easel. A ticket booth dressed in red curtains.

This October, The Beaumont Studios is bringing its eighth annual immersive theatre production to life, and we’re inviting our community to help us build this year’s show, a wonderfully strange and dark comedic world entitled Flushment Day.

We’re looking for people with some extra time, useful skills and creative curiosity to join our set dec team.

If rat role-playing ain’t your game, volunteer behind the scenes to help decorate, paint, and craft props with experienced theatre and movie set designers.

Volunteering at the Beaumont is fun! We have lots of projects that need people who want to help and learn what goes into building sets. What are your interests, your skills and availability? All are considered based on projects that fit your interests and schedule.

We would love to hear from

  • Painters and scenic artists
  • Set decorators and prop makers
  • Builders and handy humans
  • Crafters and the craft-curious
  • Installation and fabrication folks
  • Creative problem-solvers
  • Emerging artists who want to learn alongside experienced makers

Whether you can offer a few hours, a few days, or more, your contribution can make a real difference, and you’ll meet other creative humans along the way.

Become part of the creative community bringing Flushment Day to life.

Come join the hive. Come build the strange with us.
