Golchin, our Nowruz celebration, represents the collective experiences of the Iranian diaspora in Vancouver. Here, away from the constraints of Iran, we have the freedom to embrace and express the joyous essence of Nowruz through dance and communal festivities—a significant assertion of cultural and personal identity. We Golchin is envisioned as a manifestation of freedom, identity, and community, reflective of Miaan’s ethos and the vibrancy of the Persian New Year.

This event promises an extraordinary fusion of Persian New Year festivities, blending various musical genres. Come enjoy a live performance by Puzzlehead and the captivating Persian house beats of Omid Walizadeh alongside sets from your favourite SWANA DJs: Aranmo, Mikubat, and Lionessa. But the festivities will only be complete with sensational visuals! So Saghiaa will be on VJing duty, and Aynaz Parkass has a whimsical installation for you!
