Join us at Beaumont Studios this upcoming Thursday, May 2 (7-11pm) for Ron Simmer’s opening night of his brand new solo exhibition – Fire, Metal and Flowers: Street Art for the Soul, A Surreal Adventure. A fun, funky and awe-inspiring evening awaits with art, music & a great DJ, snacks, and drinks at the gorgeous Beaumont B1 Gallery – a one of a kind, beautiful and inclusive creative arts hub in the heart of Vancouver.
Public Gallery Hours will be open May 3-11, 9am – 5pm.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Ron Simmer is a local Vancouver sculptor from the Burning Man community and exhibits public art in BC and several US states. As chairman of ReVision the Art of Recycling Society he produces a wide spectrum of art from upcycled materials and found objects, from Pop to Steampunk. His work is interactive, questioning and direct. He contributes large scale, and fun art to festivals and events celebrating music, spirituality and community – art for the moment. He creates art highlighting environmental issues – plastic pollution, destruction of the biosphere and the global climate disaster.
This show will include Ron’s most recent confabulation – full size interactive mother and child robots, on the theme of robots replicating, in the world of steampunk and upcycled art science fiction.
